Featured Item - Tim Holtz Distress Ink and **Giveaway**

Hello!

It is time for a new Feature Item at Scrapbooker's Paradise - this time it is Tim Holtz Distress Inks by Ranger. From October 1st - 15th, they are only $5.50 (regular $6.50) just quote FIDI in the comments section of your online order.
Here is my Halloween card:

To create the background, I stamped the spider webs and embossed with black embossing powder. I covered the whole image with Milled Lavender Distress Ink straight from the pad and poured on clear embossing powder. Distress Inks stay wetter longer which allow you to emboss with them. I repeated this process until I had 5 layers of clear embossing powder (this process can be eliminated if you have UTEE....ultra thick embossing powder, I really need to buy it!!). I then put the pieces in the freezer for 5 minutes and as soon as I took it out of the freezer, folded the paper to crack the paper. I covered the whole image in Black Soot distress ink and used a damp cloth to wipe it off again, the ink would have seeped into the cracks.

To create the tag, I stamped the French Collage Stamp in white paint with the dabber and set it with heat. I used a mixture of Milled Lavendar, Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserves (limited edition colour), Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon (limited edition colour), Vintage Photo, Gathered Twigs (limited edition colour) and Black Soot and used my ink blending tool to blend all the colours together. I took a damp cloth to wipe the excess off so the white paint shows through. I stamped the bats onto the tag, die cut two more bats from the Movers and Shapers which I applied Glossy Accents too. And applied some jewels and ribbon.

And lastly, the halloween tag. The die cut was cut from the Mini Labels Movers and Shapers. I stamped the Happy Halloween and heat embossed with black embossing powder and then blended Spiced Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon (limited edition colour).
